I have been teaching classes in wild-yeasted sourdough bread baking in Nevada County for 5 years. My class was the most popular offering at the recently closed Briarpatch Cooking School. I now offer classes approximately twice a week exclusively online.
Wild-yeasted, slow fermented sourdough bread is a marvel. Made from just 4 ingredients, Flour, water, salt, and time, you will be amazed at the subtle flavors and textures.
FOR THE DURATION OF THIS EMERGENCY ALL CLASSES WILL BE GIVEN ONLY ONLINE. COST IS $5 – $35 SLIDING SCALE IN ORDER TO INSURE THAT EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO BAKE IS ABLE. Starter: If you are near Grass Valley, CA you may pick up a sample on my porch. If you can’t, I will teach you a very simple way to make your own.
